Brainstorm

So, I am writing a story about a young woman called Niamh who as a historian moves to a small town to visit in archive. While trifling through the archives she digs up a disturbing tale about several child murders in the area. These murders have links to stories of the Occult (folk horror) and other mysterious goings on around the town. She takes it upon herself to investigate the strange stories and makes several friends (and enemies) along the way. Towards the end of the novel, she breaks into the home of a pillar of the town community, a lady called Edna and her granddaughter who is in her late teens. She finds evidence of a plot to sacrifice several of the town’s children to a Demogorgon. Before she can leave Edna’s granddaughter (who she never knew was in the house) knocks her out from behind. Niamh comes around bound (hands duct taped behind back) in Edna’s bedroom, her feet are also bound at the ankles. My question relates to duct tape over her mouth, I am stuck between having her initially wake up gagged OR the friendly grocer who she had met earlier knocking on the door. Niamh as a response tries screaming for help and hops to the window, this prompts the granddaughter to burst in and drag her away from the window and tape her mouth. What do you think? Have an idea in mind but would like to brainstorm. Also, would it be realistically possible for her to subdue her? Even though she is bound hand and foot?

Got followed by a random guy the other day

so i’m a male, 17 if it matters and i decided to go to the petrol station the other night to pick one of my favourite snacks. this petrol station is near my house and the way to get to it is this one way small strip of road which has a large field next to it with a small cycle lane running across it which i use to walk on seeing as i don’t want to get my shoes ruined by the muddy field. Mind you i am almost always the only person walking along this road as it is very out of the way and especially because it was night. This strip of road has no light towards it so when you walk across there its pitch black. the reason im including these details is so you can get a better picture of the situation i was in. So as i get to the end of my street i see a guy with his hood up and head down walking along a pathway to my right, he was a fair bit behind me so i cut infront and start walking on the pavement to my left, he seemed to acknowledge me and i carried on walking. a few metres ahead of this pavement and across the street is the strip of road i was talking about. i start walking along the cycle lane with no other thought in my head and then about 20 seconds later i turn back to see if this guy had walked on past along the pavement and i see he is just about to be out of my sight and as far as i knew he was walking on so i just turn back and continue on my way. a few seconds later i do a double take and i see that this guy has started walking along the cycle lane where i was walking. i was about 20 metres ahead and, due to the aforementioned details, i started to get concerned because why would he possibly be wanting to walk down here. but i brushed it off as him simply just wanting to get to the petrol station and then simply just picked up my pace. from then on i kept looking back to check and i am pretty certain he had realised that i kept doing this and suddenly just hits a u turn, crosses the street, and carries on his merry way. this properly freaked me out because from him turning around like that meant he was definitely attempting to follow me and the thing that scares me the most about things like these is what were his intentions? the reason i posted this is i am just trying to see if im going crazy or i was right to be legitimately concerned.

10 days of green mucusy poop

My 5.5 EBF baby has had 10 days of diarrhoea! We haven’t started solids yet. He hasn’t been playing in puddles or rain water. He’s happy, gaining weight, stats are good. He’s still feeding happily.
